A garage door is a balanced mechanical system. The springs carry the weight, the cables transfer it, the rollers and tracks guide it, and the motor only ever nudges a door that is already balanced. When one of those is wrong, the symptom usually shows up somewhere else — which is why so many people are told they need a new motor when what they actually have is a fatigued spring. We test the door by hand before we blame anything electrical.
